About Me
Bboy Lyricx, born Nana Tuffour Okai, is a Ghanaian break dancer, educator, entrepreneur, and cultural innovator known for his work in developing breaking culture in Ghana and across Africa.
He is the Founder of Africa Breaking Academy and President of the Ghana Breaking Federation, organizations dedicated to promoting breaking as both an art form and a sport.
Over the years, Bboy Lyricx has become a leading voice in using dance as a tool for youth empowerment and community development. Through workshops, competitions, and outreach programs, he has helped young people discover their talent, build confidence, and pursue positive life paths through hip-hop culture.
What I Do
Beyond performance, he organizes major events such as the Afrobreak International Championship, one of Africa’s leading breaking competitions, and has led initiatives and exhibitions documenting the history and evolution of breaking culture in Africa.

Roots of The Culture
Roots of the Culture is more than a documentary — it’s a movement captured on film that reveals the untold story of Bboy Lyricx, a pioneer whose personal journey from the streets of Accra,Ghana across Africa gave rise to Afrobreak concepts, a cultural force through Breaking , mentorship and community building that is inspiring a new generation of African dancers to embrace their heritage and reclaim their place in the Global Hip-Hop narrative (SANKOFA). The film also captures the journey of other Inspiring young African Dancers, Djs and Hip Hop Practitioners making great impacts in their countries and communities.
